Welcome to Harmony eXtreme Camp Northeast!

Formerly known as Harmony Explosion, or HX for short, the camp has been renamed to better fit the younger generation that it encompasses. For those of you who do not know what this camp is, let me tell you...

Harmony eXtreme Camp is a 4-day music camp for high school and college age male vocalists. Repertoire consists of 3 TTBB a cappella pieces and 3 barbershop pieces. One of these is the camp's theme song, Harmony Leads the Way, for the chorus with a second verse overlay for the teaching quartet. This year, as a change in venue the camp will be held at Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts on August 7-10. The students, their teachers and a recent addition, future music educators (college students) arrive on Thursday to register and begin their rehearsals and workshops. After three long days of rehearsing it all pays off with a phenomenal show Saturday night. The HX chorus always brings the crowd to their feet, and has occasionally brought them to tears with some of their more moving pieces. They are then followed by district and international medalist quartets and the Staff chorus, which consists of the music educators, college students, chaperones and anyone else who has helped with the camp.
